There was NO holding back at Kobus and Yolanda’s trash the dress session, which was on their second wedding anniversary. They were full of ideas…and feathers…and hundreds and thousands…and paint…and water…and even a bit of flames!!!

I LOVE THESE 2 people!

I met Juné years ago and a few times already God has used her in my life just at the right time. (THANK YOU JUNé!)

She is an amazing and established photographer in Cape Town (make sure to have a look at her work HERE) and also the one that photographed my one sister, Alesha’s, wedding. We did this shoot, since they are moving to Sekunda next month. Werner (and Juné) was asked to go help at the Shofar Church. Im soooooo excited for that area – Jesus obviously has great plans for them! Juné will still continue with her photography, so be very happy Mpumalanga and Gauteng! (;

It was such a joy photographing Werner and Juné. I love observing how people interact and the strong bond they have is amazing. Im excited when i see marriages like this. And …they are just fun to be around… Dankie Werner en Juné. So ‘n voorreg om julle kiekies te kon neem en om saam te kuier.

Oorspronlik sou ons by Kampsbaai die verlowing shoot doen, maar daar het die wind ons net deurmekaar gewaai! Ons het gaan skuiling soek tussen die mooie rotse van Llandudno en op die ou end het dis so lekker gewerk vir die shoot. Tanya en Christiaan is soooo verlief en dit was sommer net lekker om die middag saam met die 2 te spandeer. Ek is nou sommer ekstra opgewonde oor hulle troudag! While I was shooting the groomsmen at Emily and David’s wedding I mentioned

to David how much i would have loved to shoot some images of him and Emily at the specific location. Since the logistics would not allow it, it wasn’t possible. David sounded all enthusiastic about the idea and so a mini Trash the Dress session was born which we did the next day. I loved having the chance to shoot them again and in another enviroment!

We did this engagement session for her and her fiancé. (who can imagine my “baby” sister is getting married already!?) And….today is her BIRTHDAY!

Charl en Crystal is van daardie coupels by wie mens sommer wil gaan kuier. Lekker mense, jy weet! Ek ken vir Crystal al ‘n rukkie en dit was soooo lekker om haar verloofde te ontmoet en hulle interaksie te sien. Hulle is gek oor mekaar en dit lyk of hulle sommer net hulleself kan wees by mekaar. Crystal se idees vir die shoot was eindeloos en ek het dit so geniet om hulle kiekies te neem.

I met Heather about 5 years ago, when we attended the same “small group” at Shofar Christian Church. I remember this student that always laughed (even if she went through tough times) but yet was so honest and truthful. She was a joy to be around.

By now Heather is my friend. She is beautiful, wise and gives awesome advice. (And is aWeSoMely crazy.) She also became a wife and photographer! Make sure to go check out her word. Pasch en Sainkie is jonk, passievol en hardwerkend. Mens kan hulle in aksie sien by hulle pragtige restaurant, Dutch East in Franschhoek. Wat ek die meeeeeste van hulle hou…is hoe hulle vir mekaar kyk en hoe hulle saam kan lag. Hulle is so ‘n oulike couple en die shoot was vir my een groot bederf.

It was such a treat photographing Jolandi, Pieter and little Nina. Jolandi and I went to the same preprimary school in Caledon and I still remember one specific day that we were hiding little “treasures” everywhere. Our

treasures were mostly stones and leaves, but we decided that years later we would go back and find it again. I think the memory of that fun day is the treasure now…and seeing Jolandi and Pieter with little Nina is the jackpot. She is beautiful and even though she was sooo tired during the first part of the shoot, she was still so cute and friendly!

Hierdie het regtig meer soos ‘n kuiertjie gevoel as ‘n shoot! Brendon en Melissa is van Johannesburg, was paar dae in die Kaap en ek het hulle in ‘n vakansiebui gevang. Van lekker roomys eet, tot hardloop in die sand en

geheime in mekaar se ore fluister. Later die jaar neem ek hulle troue in Johannesburg af. Nou wat ek hulle bietjie beter leer ken het, sien ek sommer nog meer uit daarna! Geniet julle foto’s Melissa en Brendon! Was regtig een heerlike middag saam met julle.
