There was NO holding back at Kobus and Yolanda’s trash the dress session, which was on their second wedding anniversary. They were full of ideas…and feathers…and hundreds and thousands…and paint…and water…and even a bit of flames!!!

While I was shooting the groomsmen at Emily and David’s wedding I mentioned

to David how much i would have loved to shoot some images of him and Emily at the specific location. Since the logistics would not allow it, it wasn’t possible. David sounded all enthusiastic about the idea and so a mini Trash the Dress session was born which we did the next day. I loved having the chance to shoot them again and in another enviroment!

I cannot really remember exactly how we decided on this, but i was sooooo keen on doing it!

Natalie and Ruhan had a morning wedding, so we only did their couple shoot after the wedding…so we could go crazy! It was super cold and windy by the time we were done with PART ONE, (click on it to see) so this part of the shoot did not last all that long, but was so worth it! THANKS to a very brave Natalie and Ruhan for going with the crazy ideas after a long and awesome day. Enjoy!

André en Merel het my al ‘n paar maande terug gese dat hulle graag sal wil fotos neem. Hulle is in Nederland getroud ‘n paar maande terug (Merel is van daar) en het nou net vir die pelle weer ‘n get together gehou in SA. (André kom oorspronklik van SA.) Hulle wou graag hier ook foto’s neem en het my gevra om ‘n spot te kry. Oppad na ‘n ander shoot het ek hierdie rooi gehuggie gewaar. Sjoe! Het dit nog nie vrooer gesien nie. Die oggend van die shoot het ek deur gery na die plaas om by die boer uit te vind of dit ok sal wees as ons daar shoot. Hy’t vir ons vriendelik toestemming gegee en ook gewaarsku dat dit nog in die week afgebreek gaan word! Sjoe, ek was sooooo bly ons kon dit nog gebruik!

How could we not do a TTD (trash the dress) session  with this awesome couple! This was Part I, the “safe” TTD. We went to Hout Bay for this shoot and the wind was crazy…but was so much fun. Part II will follow soon!
